Ferial Ashraf started practicing karate at Matareya Youth Center at the age of 7.

Her remarkable skills led her to compete in her first official championship when she was only 9, and she won a gold medal.

At the Dubai Open Championship 2013, as soon as she was eligible to compete internationally, she showcased her prowess on an international level, by winning another gold medal.

Joining the Egyptian national team in 2014, Ferial continued her winning streak.

Her participation in the Istanbul Open Championship resulted in yet another gold medal. She participated at the World Championship under 21 in Chile in 2019 and achieved an outstanding victory by winning a gold medal and at that same year she joined the Military Institution Club in Hikstep to represent it officially.

Her most notable achievement came in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where Ferial made history as the first Egyptian woman to win a gold medal in the Olympic Games.

Ferial Ashraf continued achieving numerous accomplishments following her gold medal victory at the Tokyo Olympics.

In 2022, she won the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in Oran  and secured two gold medals at the Arab Karate Championship held in Jordan in 2024 .

Most recently, the Olympic champion continued her remarkable success at the KARATE 1-Series A Championship in Salzburg, Austria in 2025

Finally, Feryal Ashraf aspires to continue achieving more achievements and medals for Egypt in the sport of karate.
